Exmoor Walking Holidays Terms and Conditions

The Organisers are Exmoor-Walking-Holidays and The Yarn Market Hotel, 25-33 High Street Dunster, Exmoor National Park, TA24 6SF

Participants are every person booking a walking break with The Organisers.

Participants transport to and from Dunster at the beginning and end of the break is the Participants responsibility. The Organisers are willing to give advice on local transport and help wherever possible.

All participants warrant that they are physically fit and able to walk up to 10 miles a day including some steep ascents/descents each day. 

All participants warrant that they will bring suitable footwear (typically walking boots giving support to the ankles). Also, suitable wet weather and wind proof clothing as some parts of the coast path can be exposed to wind and rain.

When the walk is guided, the Guide represents The Organisers and all Participants agree to walk with the Guide at the speed determined by the Guide, taking rest breaks as determined by the Guide. The Guide’s primary responsibility is to look after the weakest member of the party which might involve extra breaks or deviations to the route.  Neither the Guide nor the Organisers can be responsible for any Participants walking ahead of the Guide.

At the Organisers sole discretion, a Participant may be asked to omit parts of a walk if they think it is beyond the Participant’s ability.  The Organisers also have discretion to cancel all or any part of a walk.  In these circumstances the Organisers will offer a suitable alternative. If this is not acceptable to the Participant a proportionate refund will be made for that part of the offer which was not provided.

The Organisers allow well-behaved dogs, but they must be put on a lead when the Guide asks. Dogs must be included when booking as dogs are only allowed in certain bedrooms.  Dogs are not allowed in the main hotel restaurant. Meals can be served elsewhere if it is impractical to leave your dog in the hotel bedroom or in your car.
